Assembly information
Solder connections should only be made at the designated solder pads
Each module can be divided into submodules ( 10 LED) by cutting carefully at the points indicated
The assembly of the module should be done by the self adhesive backing
.
Please pay attention to the expansion coefficients of different mounting surfaces. If the mounting surface
is non metallic it is advisable to use an additional thicker foam backed adhesive tape available from
companies such as 3M.
The module is not protected against humidity or dust. In applications where excessive humidity or dust is
present the construction of any luminaire should ensure that the module is in accordance with European
standards.
The operating temperature of the module should be measured at the maximum design ambient tempe-
rature with it installed in a completed luminaire by using a thermosensor or temperature sticker. These
are available from distributors such as RS components ( http://www.rswww.com )
Power supplies and control units
LINEARlight Colormix Flex should be powered by a 24V DC power supply such as the OSRAM
OPTOTRONIC
24 V range. Dimming and color control is effected by Pulse Width modulation (PWM) of the individual
red,
green and blue 24V supplies. Suitable RGB-controllers include:
OSRAM OT RGB 3 Channel DIM. A 3 channel dimming/color controller with industry standard 1-10 V
control outputs, used in conjunction with 3 OSRAM OT DIM PWM dimming units.
OT RGB Sequencer DIM. As the OT RGB 3 channel dim but incorporating an integrated sequencer
